Maricopa County Law Enforcement Association
Speaking for those that serve Maricopa County...
The Maricopa County Law Enforcement Association (MCLEA) is an association that represents the employees of the Maricopa County Sherriff’s Office.
Through the combined effort and strengths of the Arizona Police Association (APA) our organization, MCLEA is able to provide, at a very low cost, a large, amplified, law enforcement “voice” within our community. The main function of this “voice” is to effectively communicate with and lobby the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the County Board of Supervisors as well as the state legislature, our federal representatives, and when needed, local city and town councils. This communication and lobbying is focused upon the issues affecting Maricopa County Detention, and professional employees. Whether these issues concern retirement benefits, adequate pay, adequate equipment, due process rights, effective law enforcement legislation, or the ability of MCSO Deputies/employees to be treated fairly.
We are an organization of MCSO employees helping MCSO employees with the support of the Arizona Police Association.
“The primary objective and purpose of the Maricopa County Law Enforcement Association and the Arizona Police Association is to protect the interest of Arizona Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers in all political venues regarding employee rights, wages, and working conditions.

With unshod feet firmly planted on the book of Justice, a proud and determined horse, symbolic of the commitment of the Sheriffs Office, stands ever-vigilant and braced against the winds of adversity.
The empty saddle is a mute testament to the brave rider who, steadfast in his resolve to serving the people, has fallen in the line of duty. Over the saddle horn hangs his pistol belt and Badge of Honor left as a legacy awaiting the next courageous soul willing, and ready, to mount up and ride for Truth and Justice in the dust of those who have gone before.
This sculpture is dedicated in humble tribute to those of the Sheriff’s Office who have sacrificed their lives in service to the people and as an inspiration to present and future generations of Peace Officers
